What IFICH is all about?
IFICHis a culture feast. It does not end at monuments and collections of objects, but it also includes intangible cultural expressions like traditions inherited from our ancestors and passed on to our descendants, such as oral traditions, performing arts, social practices, rituals, festive events, knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe or the knowledges and skills to produce traditional crafts.
During the event, a series of ICH-themed programs including exhibitions, competitive activities, shows as well as folk performances will be staged.

1.World Outlook
This year’s IFICH will focus on the diversity of human culture. 23 countries will display its traditional handicrafts, 13 countries of the magnificent performing team will take turns to offer the best performances.
- Chinese Festival
This chapter includes the 24 solar terms with the ancient Chinese wisdom and the local folk festival.
There would be a plenty of activities in different forms, for example, “the 24 solar terms and our festive life” exhibition activities, Dujiangyan Rural Poetry Festival, Xinjin County Dragon Boat Race, Pengzhou Peony Flower Festival and other activities is to be in full debut
- Chinese Opera
Chinese Opera attracts many foreigners from all over the world every year and it’s a must for our international interns as well. IFICH will be a blend of traditional Chinese performing arts as well. It will select 34 performing teams from the traditional music, dance, drama, folk art to conduct the promotion activities.
4.Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage
This part is based on the exhibition of the revitalization & competitions works of the traditional Chinesecraft to show the long history and brilliant future of ChineseIntangible Cultural Heritage.
When &Where to be held?
The 6th International Festival of Intangible Cultural Heritage will be held from 10th June- 18th June atChengdu Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Park. You can take metro line 4 there directly. It’s free of Charge and international interns can get free tickets at the at the activity site.
